IoTLab Suriname Project
The IoTLab Project is all about showing kids and young adults how cool technology is and getting them excited about becoming makers, creators, and tech wizards! They do this by hosting all sorts of fun events like hackathons, boot camps, and training sessions.
But that’s not all – the IoTLab Project also wants to help grow the tech industry in Suriname and the Caribbean. So, they’re doing their part to make sure everyone knows just how awesome tech can be!
train{ED} Tech Education Project
train{ED} is an organization that supports individuals from diverse backgrounds who are eager to pursue careers in the tech industry across various ecosystems. They offer a supportive learning community and a clear pathway to acquiring new tech skills.
The program’s committed trainers, as well as its alumni, mentors, and coaches, assist students in developing the necessary skills to excel in the tech field and building connections that can lead to actual job opportunities.

Our Mission Statement
In 2019, UNESCO initiated the Futures of Education program, which aimed to critically examine the current education system and reimagine it to suit the changing world. As our society faces greater complexity, uncertainty, and precarity, education must evolve to meet these challenges.
The Futures of Education initiative started a global dialogue on how knowledge, education, and learning can adapt to the changing world. This initiative served as a call to action to make education more relevant, equitable, and accessible to all.
Longitude takes this initiative into the next phase by funding and supporting the implementation of educational projects that shape the future of humanity and the planet.
Longitude is dedicated to advancing educational projects that are innovative, forward-thinking, and focused on shaping the future of humanity and the planet. We support and fund educational ventures that have the potential to create a significant and positive impact on society.
